Ok, I tested the EGR valve. The idle did drop once I was finally able to push the stinkin' thing. Maybe a good cleanup wouldn't be a bad idea. Now, is this still sounding like it could have been the culprit or should I start worrying? Thanks.

Cleaning it couldn't hurt. It's a PITA to remove on a 93 though. You HAVE to remove the fuel rails as there's an accumulator on the crossover pipes that's directly above the passenger side bolt for the EGR. Simple enough task though. Just four bolts for the fuel rails, lift up and out of the way, and two 1/2" nuts holding the EGR valve on via studs.

Ok, sounds easy enough. Any idea where to get the seafoam Joe was referring to? Also, how hard would the EGR pipe be to get off, or should I worry about it? Think it might be the EGR getting stuck that was causing this? I've had it set off the SES light when it was pretty cold and I was on the freeway at about 80 mph. It did take a little effort to push it, so it could've been stuck...I hope lol. Thanks for your help guys.Steve

Just for kicks, I took her out today. She still has that sputter, but not nearly as bad. She only did it once, so I'm hoping cleaning the EGR vavle will do it. Thanks a bunch guys and have a good rest of the weekend. Thanks extra to Craig for starting the thread for me.
