My prediction is that Kerry will win most of the "swing states" and therefore get the electoral vote rather comfortably.

If this election goes to the house, we might have Bush and Edwards ?!? team in the end , according to local news here. Imagine that, I think we would have he best of two worlds, two conflicting ideas , excellent check and balance system at the White House.

I've seen that report too, it's pretty funny, really.

There are ways the electoral vote could be a tie. In which case, Congress would elect the President, and the Senate would elect the VP. Each state would have one vote... and with a Democratic Senate, and a Republican Congress, that is how that outcome would be achieved...

            BUT...

The consensus is that Edwards would win the VP rather easily... the problem is that Bush probably WOULDN'T win the Congress vote because states that are split Rep/Dem would likely abstain from that vote. He likely wouldn't get the 26 votes required to win, regardless of whether or not he gets the majority. In this case... JOHN EDWARDS would be President!!!!

Wow, the unlikely ... vey exciting time, the bickering stopped and all we can do is sit back and watch, the voter turn out are far greater than last election, people definetly want a change. This is going tobe close, who ever wins, has to take notice and acknowledge of the other majority that voted against him and consider the differences.

High turn out does not necessarily mean the people want a change. I know people that didn't vote 4 years ago that are voting because they don't want to change in the middle of a war.

Normally it is the other "minority" not "majority" that voted against him. The 2000 and 1960 elections are rare.

I predict that thanks to things like MTV's 20 million loud and liberal high school teachers, all of these kids are voting kerry. Some girl that i work with told me shes voting kerry, when i asked her why, her response was- "Uhh, um, like i don't know but i'm going to." Kids aren't going to vote for Bush because Eminem and Incubus and Howard Stern are against him. Just look at how kids act now. They dress and act like they're frm some imaginary ghetto. Do you really think any of them are going out to vote with even half a clue as to doing what they're doing? They're just voting kerry because that's what's popular. Teachers and the media made Bush look bad and rather than find out anything about him, kids would prefer to just vote against him.

If Bush wins Ohio and Florida he's got it locked up or if he'd pull off PA. If he wins one of the two then look to states such as Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico. There are many different outcomes possible even one the it could come down to Hawaii being the desicion maker (wouldn't that be interesting with the time difference). Really its completely up in the air. The polls aren't accurate enough to tell. There are a ton of different polling companies and they all have very different outcomes. I'd also make a prediction that we will not know who our leader is for atleast another month till the courts sourt it all out.

First, there are a few high school teachers that arent screaming liberals

Second, I took a mock vote in my class today and had the kids vote on slips of paper and the large majority voted for Bush. Another teacher did this with one of his classes and it was tied.

....and I teach in New York State, the liberal Mecca of the world!
