  • Strut tower brace

Just figured I'd share with the fellow f-bod family my experience with my newly acquired strut tower brace. I bought it off of joe1320 from his garage sale thread on the for sale boards, and all i have to say is i have noticed a nice change in driving feel. I've had some minor front end damage, and the car has always felt at about 98% of what it used to be since it happened, and it always just felt a tad off from what it was. I put on a BMR strut tower brace yesterday, and it just seems like it made a whole world of difference for me. I'm not sure if i've noticed so much of a change because of the damage that occured a while back, but all i know is that there is a difference. This and power tuning my computers are by far the biggest changes that i have felt right afterwards. The car corners amazingly now, and it just has a nice stiffer feel when you drive it. The suspension upgrades begin this winter, and so far i've started out with a new panhard rod and this brace. I have to say, the combination has made me very very happy thus far . Just figured i'd share with you, and suggest that if you don't have one, to look into a strut tower brace sometime, i guarantee you won't regret it.

Thanks again Joe, i couldn't have been happier with the outcome.

yeah, when I got a STB for my formula, I noticed the difference as I was pulling out of my driveway. HUGE difference.

I've been meaning to get one for my Z28 now.

Glad you like it. They do make a difference in dampening the flex. When you can, go for the subframe connectors. That will complete the solid feel throught the car.

Added the tunnel brace also and it completes the ride to the SS .

          Thanks for the input

The very next thing actually was going to be subframe connectors, just still trying to decide on what to get. I do want weld on, just trying to determine what brand

Suggestion...... a certain company that makes the subframe connectors uses bare steel on their weld on design, but a powdercoated/painted on their bolt on unit. Go with the bolt on and then just have them welded.
