Wiperblades -$ ouch!

    Wiperblades -$ ouch!

    I usually put the winter wiperblade setups on my cars so I thought I'd try to equip the TA with them this year. But, I couldn't find wiperblade replacement options at Autozone, aside from just the refill replacements. The hairs should have started rising on the back of my neck at that point...

    I called the local dealer... $48 a piece for each wiperblade! Does anyone know the best place to find these, for a cheaper cost? -At this point, I'm fine with just replacing and getting the regular wiperblade setup verses a winter blade option.

    Holy Hell, Man....that is expensive. I just bout some here at Wal-Mart for $10/pc. I'mnot sure if they are the same thing as what you are taking about, but they are the kind that basically the whole wiper is covered in rubber to keep the ice and snow from sticking in the holes and gaps in the regular ones. The blades themselves are coated in Teflon, I think. It sounds to me like someone is trying to rip you off. Try Wally World. Now if you are talking about something totally different, then disregard this whole post. But these that I got seem like they are going to work pretty well...I am just for the next bout of snow here to test them out...I got them for the 5 hour trip my wife and I are going to be taking to the airport here in a couple of weeks to go back to Dallas for a visit. Anyway...hope this helps.

      Cool, I'll give Wally World a shot. If I remember correctly, I think it was the '93 thru '97 models that are unavailable whereas the '98 and up were available as cheaper replacements. I can't imagine what the difference would be with the wiperblades... Anyway, I'll check out Wally World.

        Go to advance auto. Ask them for the part number for trico blades "Exact fit" blades. 10 a piece, they work great. I just got some a couple months ago, but I forgot the part #.

          I put on Triple Edge wiper blades. They are awesome.

          The wipers needed to be bent on the back side slightly to fit around the wiper arm.

            You might want to look at silicone wiper blades.....they last a lot longer than the rubber ones. Tire Rack has them in winter blade configuration http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/valeo/ultimate.jsp
