  • CenterForce Anyone??

I'm in the market for a new clutch for my 94 TA. Anyone have any experience with CenterForce? I was looking at the Clutch kit part # CTF-DF039020 from Summit. The car is stock for now, but I'm getting ready to start adding bolt-ons and I have a heavy foot so a good clutch setup is needed. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but- This guy Nick that i know uses a Centerforce clutch on his 89 Camaro. He dropped a custom carbed 350 in it that he estimates pushes out around 385 horsepower. He also did a Tremec T-5 swap. His car has lots of power and he said he the Centerforce clutch is great and has no problems grabbing. The Clutch pedal is really light too. Hope this helps. Good luck.

    SOLD- Good riddance!

I've heard nothing but bad things. Chatter and slippage. Not sure if it varies from application. I don't like buying into companies that advertise certain "percentages over stock." I like it to say how much it can hold. Spec will tell you their stage 2 will hold 425 hp 450 tq or somethin' like that. I love SPEC clutches, I'll be putting one on the camaro when the time comes.

Centerforce = not a happy customer.

Go with Spec stage 2 or if higher HP than stock, go with stage 3.

I got 130k out of the stock GM clutch, then I went with the centerforce dual friction, and it only made it for 40k. Same type of old fart driving. I now have the Spec stage 3, which seems real nice now after breakin and 10k.

If you can't find one cheaper than on the site, let me know, I have a buddy that work at motion dynamics, he gets me them cheaper. I paid like 50 under their advertised price buying from him.
