    what would you do......;)

    i have a set or 2001 SS silver 10 spoke wheels with goodyear F1's. they are original GM. a friend of my brother made me an offer of $800 for wheels and tires. i would only sell them to get 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear ZR-1 Black replica corvette grand sport wheels with Rear tires: Sumitomo 315/35/17 ZR

    what you guys think ?
    how good are Sumitomo tires?
    good traction?
    the 10 spoke SS wheels have about 10,000 miles on them.

    Go to Tire Rack and look at the "survey" results for the specific Sumitomo tire you are considering. They will have user ratings on "dry traction", "wet traction", "tread wear", "noise", etc. You can also do a comparison screen of the survey data for other brand tires available in the same size.

      I have the same wheel/tire combo as that but my rims are grey with a polished lip. Anywhooo the 315 Sumitomos grip very well wet and dry. Much better than my old 245 Potenzas. I hardly ever spin the tires anymore unless I basically floor it from a standstill or coming out of a corner. Also the combo looks really nice. That wide tire out back is just plain mean looking I got compliments on them the very first day they were on. I didn't have to do any modifications and they don't rub at all. It's pretty close to the inside fender well but there's no contact. I say go for it. I couldn't be happier with mine. If I get a chance to wash my car I'll post some pics......Later

          I got a set of 17x9.5 and 17x11 polished torque thurst IIs for sale with 275/40 and315/35 I'll take $900 for wheels and tires if you are interested
