    My 80 Z28 Project

    As some of you know I have an '80 Z28 project car that is in the restoration process right now.

    At the moment, new transmission is in the car, new gears are in, headers and exhaust are done, motor is just about built, i have most of the body panels ready for paint, and interior is about as good as its gonna get (for now).

    So whats left.. drop the motor in the car, finish up body work and paint. I'm probably going with a nice bright blue but also considering a bright red.

    There's nothing quite like a clean, restored/modified 2nd gen. I'm liking the way red looks on a 2nd gen, but that's just me.

      What is the original color?

        I'm still undecided on the paint color, so if anyone would like to throw in their opinion or some pics, feel free!

            It will be worth a little more if it is the original color. Besides, black is a good color. Now if it were that light turd color I would say change it. But since it was black, I'd definitely paint it black. That would be a good song for The Rolling Stones. "Paint it Black"

              My vote is for black That's definitely gonna be one sweet ride when your done. Like Benm109 said, there's nothing like a clean 2nd gen, i love 'em!
              black 95 t/a, a4, beefed up tranny w/ higher stall converter, transgo shift kit, trans temp gauge, trans cooler, richmond 3.73's, loudmouth, hypertech programmer, 160 thermo, descreened maf, TB bypass and airfoil, trick flow intake elbow, underdrive pulleys, moroso cai, edelbrock panhard rod, bmr stb, slp sfc's, fiberglass firehawk hood, hawk pads, taylor wires, ngk plugs, royal purple fluids,...and hopefully more to come

                  she does own the car, she was tigerstrips80 or something on this forum a while back.

                        But anyway, I'm really not feelin black this time. And as for how much the car is worth, I honestly don't care that much. I picked it up basically looking like a big heap of crap for $300.

                          Black would nice but the body would have to be perfect or it would show so much more than any light color. I've got a '79 Camaro that I'm painting Artic White.

                            Take a look at the colors on this restified 1st Gen..........http://www.z069.us/

                            The blue with grey striping would be an excellent choice on your second gen as well.
