    Hey guys,
Saved up my money just bought a 94 formula auto with about 87,000 miles on it for 4000. I was wondering were to start how much of an improvement would a shift kit give me. One of my buddies has a gtech I ran a 13.9 according to it. I want to get in the low 12s so how could i do that

Congratulations on your purchase. Post some pics and welcome. Gettin' in the low 12's will take some work but certainly is possible. Many here have done it. Look around this site with the "search" button and at WS6.com for proven dyno results. Good luck.

Time and money is all it takes! At least it sounds easy.

      formula

      thanks for the encouragment

I have been thinking mabye a cat-back exhaust, slp cold-air, hypertech programmer, throttle body bypass, 3.73 gears, and mabye some underdrive pulleys

I'm not exactly sure I want a converter cause Im not sure I really know what they do exactly and i dont want to put something on I dont if understand how it works.

but anyway how quick would that get me if i run a 13.9 right now

I'll try to post some pics in the next few days

personally if i could do it again i would start with the K&N intake, either jet hot or hooker long tube headers, and tsp true dual exaust

I would guess 13.65 - 13.8 with the mods mentioned above. Add long tube headers, true duals, the converter and some giggle gas, drag radials, suspension, etc if you are looking for low 12's.....boy I can spend your money quickly. One sacrifice with the serious mods will be the "street drivability" of your car. Many here have taken their stock rides and truely converted them into race cars. This is fine if your goal is to build a racer, but the sacrifice will be the fun of tooling around town. Consider your goals and plan properly. BTW take it to the track for an official run; its a hoot
