  • oxygen sensor problems

i have 95 v6 camaro, with the right oxygen sensor always giving SES light going off, i changed the sensors and i know it isnt bad somthing else is the matter and i hope maybe somone had same or similar problem, i could drive 2 min and the ses comes on or i can drive 30 min without it coming on, it isnt always faulty im wondering if somone knows of a sensitive angle the oxy sensor wire goes through maybe its broke from the inside and shows somtimes not always.

usualy the ses light comes on when im uphill and need to downshift, i know it isnt the sensors they are new changed 3 times already i even switched it with the left side to make sure, the ses still reads right side faulty.

    plz help thanx

What is the exact code you are getting that leads you to believe the O2 sensor is faulty? There are some codes that show up as O2 sensor issues, but are actually caused by other problems, like running rich or lean, sensor wiring or sensor heater wiring problems, etc. With the exact code, it might be possible to track down the cause of the problem.

DTC 14 is for the coolant temperature sensor.

There are no "grades" of scanners in the OBD-I system - they either read the codes or they don't. You need the exact 2-digit code to know which O2 sensor and what the problem was - e.g. heater circuit, sensor activity, lean or rich.
