  • '99 camaro window motor replacement

Great forum! I have a '99 V6 Camaro and with 98k miles on it and this forum has saved me a few headaches over the past months.

I will be replacing the driver's side power window motor this weekend. I printed out the instructions/pics on how to do this for a '95 from shbox.com. I'm pretty sure the guts of the door didn't change from 95 to 99 but I figured someone would be able to verify that for me. Better safe than sorry.

Also, my catalytic converter is breaking apart and the rattling is driving me nuts! Would it drastically effect trade in value if I was to take this off the car? Just got it inspected so that won't be an issue.

    Thanks!

Check with your dealer....it might be under warranty to have it replaced. The computer may throw a code if you delete it. I don't believe it would be worth deleting it for a performance mod - others?

The door is exactly the same in 99 compared to 95. They were actually never changed, right up to 2002.

I have a 2001 door on my 1994 car. It fits perfectly.

I think the catalytic convertor has a much longer warranty than the car, due to gov't regulations. Call your local dealer and find out.

The other option would be a hi-flow cat, like carsounds or random tech.
