Asking for help before i toast the car

    No idea as to the electrical problems.

    As for the overheating; is the air dam intact underneath the car? Since the firebird doesn't have an open grill it gets all its air from underneath the car. If the airdam is broken, the air won't be deflected properly.

      As I mentioned before, you might want to get ALL your wiring back into original factory mode. You may have some pieces that are creating ground loops from what ever was added and then deleted. Wiring problems in any car are a real pain to track down, and until you get back to a safe starting point, its very difficult to fix.

      I have a '84 blazer, that the front parking lights go on with the rear brake lights, its probably in the turn signal switch, so I just live with it. I had a '93 jeep cherokee that kept blowing the tail lite fuse when I hit a bump with the brakes on (going over RR tracks), it turned out the previous owner removed the trailer hitch and cut the trailer plug harness and tucked the wires up into the uni-body with out taping them.

        we actually tracked it down to a bad ground for the tails in the back.


        still havent tracked the cooling problem, ill check on the air dam, i bottom out quite often, so ill see if its there or what not, and will also do a coolant flush
