Dont cut holes just undo the botom of the shocks and drop the tank, it does not take that long. Its better for the car. Uni-bodies arent ment to be hacked up. IMO it looks like S*#! but thats just me.

Yep, you can use the "trap door" method on 3rd and 4th gen cars. I have seen plenty of examples on both kinds of cars. I would, however, recommend at least trying it the correct way first (dropping the rear end and lowering the tank). If you're having too much trouble attempting it that way, then go for the "trap door" method. Hopefully this thread won't go bad, as many "trap door" fuel pump install threads end up locked on other forums. It's the holidays everybody, can't we all get along?
