There are many different diameters, widths and offsets made for the C5's... both genuine GM, and reproduction. The 9.5" wide wheels with offsets in the range of 50-56mm will fit fine. If you get into one of the 61mm or 65mm offset wheels - mainly from the Z06 - you might have problems... definitely in the front, possibly in the back as well.
If you have a specific C5 wheel in mind, I have a chart form an issue of VETTE magazine showing the offset of each size and year wheel for various diameters and widths.
