  • what brakes for a 4th gen?

i am going to do a full brake upgrade on my 94. the car will be used on road courses, and is not going to see much of a weight reduction. what would you guys favor in this situation? baer? brembo? wilwood? i want a 6 piston caliper in the front and a dual or quad in the rear. rotors up front have to be no less than 12.8" and rears no less than 11.5". money on this will not be an issue, and i will be running a 17" wheel. i am up in the air about most of it, but i want this thing to stop on a dime over and over again.

Wilwood Superlite 6's are amazing. Not cheap, but amazing nevertheless.

what do prices run for sumthing like that ?? im lookin to upgrade also but money is a little bit of a factor. car needs rotors for sure and how much i spend will dictate how much i have left for performance.

these systems for the front only run usually between $1300 and $1800, depending on what options you get. the rears are typically around $700 to $1200

just shopping around you would be amazed in the price difference between places on the same product.

The part number for the Superlite 6 front kit for a 93-97 f-body is# 140-6743 and part# 140-7763 for the 98-02 f-bodies. The stainless braided hose kit is part# 220-6746 for both.

And the Dynalite Pro 4 piston rear brake kit is part# 140-6745 for a non-vented iron rotor and part# 140-7148 for a vented iron rotor. This kit will allow you to keep the e-brake.

http://www.hotrodsusa.com/store/index.html is a dealer. I have ordered a few things from them before. I also think Thunder Racing is a dealer.

You could call Wilwoods customer service # and ask them if there is a local dealer near you: (805) 388-1188
