  • Will these rims fit the camaro?

    http://www.wheelreplicas.com/y2kcobrar.htm

I saw them in person today on a mustang gt, and I loved the look. I thought they'd look good on the camaro. That 18" rim on a lowered camaro. I think I am about sold on these rims, if they'll fit my car. Our cars have, what? The +32mm offset? Those are +24. Wolfman?

I think our cars use at least 50 - 53 mm offset. I would say it isn't going to work.

            Three reasons they are "wrong":

            1. They don't have the right bolt pattern for you F-Body. You need a wheel with 5 bolts on a 4.75" (120.65mm) circle. Ford wheels are 4 x 4.25" or 5 x 4.50"..... neither will fit on an F-Body.

            2. As noted above the offsets are all wrong.... even if you could bolt them on, they would be sticking outside the fenders. For a 9.5" wide wheel you need an offset in the range of 45-56mm.

            3. Mustang wheels belong on Mustangs.

                Ford anything sucks

I say go with the C5 wheels, they look twice as good and you know they'll fit.

I love the C5's. Those rims look like them, but they have a sligh 1" dish, which is what made me want them.

A 255/50-17 is almost 1.5" larger in diameter than the stock tires..... why would you go to such a large diameter tire, requiring speedo correction, and in effect, lowering your numerical rear axle ratio by more than 5%?

I wanted the biggest tire I could on the back without wheel well work
that is what they told me to get. Still do not have traction. The hypertech
                        took care of the speedo.
