  • Changing to vented opti

I was looking around at info on optisparks and came across this. It looks like a little bit cheaper way of converting to a vented system. Do you think it would work?

Yep, that's what I did a couple of years ago. I also drilled the weep hole in the water pump to 3/16", added a 90 deg. elbow and installed a couple of feet of 3/16" hose that I tied off to the steering rack. In this way when the pump fails, the coolant will be routed away from the opti to a noticeable spot.
