Something like 1400 rwhp I think...

...every once in a while he'll drive it around the streets here too

I heard 1250 RWHP, but either way I need to get my a$$ in gear. I'm surprised they were letting him run at Thunder without a strut mount spoiler.

Did you guys notice how hard he got on the bar?

If you look closely at the wheels on the wheelie bar, they are painted white. You do this to see how long and hard the car is on the bar. You can see the white marks left by the wheelie bar wheels.

Harlan is making aweome power but he still has a lot of suspension tuning do.

I am sure there are MUCH faster f-bodies out there... but not with anything that resembles an LS1 or LT1 for that matter.

Maybe Fred can answer this, but wasn't George Baxter's 'Maro faster than this? Was his still an LT1?

As an LT1, George's car ran 9.05 @ 155 (3,900# race weight). When he went to a Gen 1 block, it ran 8.6@160mph (3,525#). I think it would have taken a bit of juice to hit a time anything like what Harlan and Big Rick are running.

There are 6- and 7-second 4th Gens, but they are "back 1/2" cars, and don't run "stock-style" suspensions. This appears to be the best "stock" block, stock style suspension, using a single power adder. That was always the sort of informal guideline for these "records".

Yes, the challenge for cars racing in events such as NMCA Drag Radial, certain Clash of the Titans classes, PSCA (Limited Street, True Street, or Wild Street Legal), PRO/NSCA Xtreme Street, LS1Tech Racing Series, is that they must put all of their power to the ground through a stock style suspended car. Sailing through the traps at 170+ in a stock suspended chassis is a remarkable feat. And a lot of $$$$$.

You can find a bunch more pics of Harlan's hawk and much more of the hard hitters that went to the Southern Shootout here:

And like I said... he still drives it on the streets around here every so often too.

                            LOL. You WILL lose.

I have a video of him playing around on I-75 with a silver twin turbo WS6 that runs 10s. Honestly... Harlan makes that WS6 look like a stock Chevy Prizm. It's unbelievable how fast he blows by him. It's not like it was a big crazy irresponsible race or anything... it was over in a matter of seconds
