  • Please Have Mercy

Well as you know my dad hit a deer in my Z comming back fron church. He was meeting a car and had to dim his light and he hit it. My lights sucked and he is determined to get me better lights now. He was going to get me Xenon lights. Please have mercy on my poor soul. I beg you not to call me a ricer or steal my shoe laces and say I cant read good.

Ricer...... JK Actually I was thinking of picking some of those up so that I can keep my blackouts on the car and not lose light power. I don't suppose you know how much they cost?

You should tell your old man not to drive your own car, and to quit telling you what you can and can't put on it

Doesn't make sense to me, who's car is it?

BTW, I love those lights. Are those the lights that come on the mercedes, jags, and lexus's? I loves. I valet, and when I pull a jag around the corner at night, the difference is just unbelievable. When it hits the grass, you can see individual blades, same with sticks on a tree. It all comes to life with those bulbs. I love 'em.

They're not just bulbs. For the TRUE Xenon lighting you need to buy a kit that costs around $450-$500 for the car. I think I saw a kit like that on the Tbyrne site. They also break down how the light works and all the scientific stuff that is good Jeopordy material too. Other wise try looking into the Sylvania "cool blue" lights. I have them on my car and they make a difference. They are not quite like the Xenon ones but still better than just the regualr old stock ones.

Yeah I hate those lights. It would be nice to have them but going by a car with them at night especially in the rain is blinding. Has anyone else noticed this. Especially newer trucks I don't think they have the xeon but they're just too bright when your sitting low in a car you just can't see.

What bearing does that have on this thread at all man?

There was actually a thread on upgrading the headlamps a few weeks ago. Check it out. Might give you the same effect for less money...

Silverstars are even better than the cool blue. I think a little more money, but they might give you what you are after.

The way he made it sound, I got the impression he didn't want the lights.

can you even drive at 16 or is that a learners? I know you can in alberta you get your learners at 14, and licence at 16, but in other provinces in Canada i believe you have to be 16 to get a learners. Im not sure how it works in the US.

Didn't mean it like that homey

I was saying "Tell him who's car it is, and what is and isn't going on it," not the other way around. If my dad told me I had to put something on my car I didn't want I would probably laugh. I had the impression you didn't want the lights, but he was making you get them against your will. Tell him who's machine it is! My car is a son to me, nobody has any say in what goes on with him but his daddy

Here in Virginia you have to be 15 and 6 months for learners, and 16 and 3 months for drivers. I dont have my drivers yet, I get them on December 13. As far as wanting or not wanting the light, I could care less. If i get them its fine, and if i dont its fine. The thing I was trying to say is that if I get them i dont want evreyone on this board to call me a ricer.

Dude no one is gonna call you a ricer...

I'm sure if eveyone here could afford to convert their suck a$$ hologens to xenon, they would...I know I would. It's cleaner and better looking...not to mention safer.

Most of us rather spend the cash on perf-mods then seeing better.

All depends on how you want to spend your money...

I couldn't agree more. I'll be driving home from my girlfriends house late at night, my eyes will be adjusted to the dark and it's like "Hey, this is kinda relaxiAHHH MY RETINA!!!". The worst part is that they like.....reflect perfectly off all of your mirrors and directly into your eyes. It really only bothers me when the car is behind me. They still hurt when the car is going the other way but not as bad. I heard they were trying to outlaw those (at least by where i live)
