  • vette rear in an Fbody

    i was wondering would it be possible to swap a vette rear end into an f-body or does it require modifications, if so what kind? thanks

    Anything is possible but you'd have to make many modifications as the Vette is an independent rear suspension (IRS) and the fbody is a solid axle.

      Don't forget about the transaxle...

        C4 vettes didnt have a transaxle, but C5 vetted did as well as the new C6.

        Any way you looked at it, it would be a huge project.

          Isn't it a lot bigger too? Like the tires would be sticking out too far?

            I believe I've got an old issue of HPP or GMHTP from the mid-late 90's that showcased a 4th gen with a C4 IRS conversion. It was freakin nice, but very very costly. I'll see if I can't dig it up and scan it for a reference.
