  • ? about 94 lt1 rocker arms

I was looking for some new rolling rocker arms and I was wondering if I should buy the ones that are for the pontiac V8 with a 1.65 ration or the ones from summit that say there for a sbc but not my year with a 1.6 ratio.
    Need advice

You need self-aligning rockers in 1.6:1. You can use non-self aligning (SBC), but then you need guide plates & hardened pushrods. You might want to upgrade pushrods anyway, with a stiffer set. The 1.65:1 rocker ratio was not found to be as good on a mild cammed car.

Does anyone have any power increase numbers for a basically stock LT1 (mild exhaust/intake upgrades) after installing 1.6:1 rocker arms?

You should see around 15-18 RWHP with the additional lift of the 1.6 rocker.

so just get the sbc 1.6 and don't worry about the year because in summit it says like 66-87 or sumtin. Just self align.

Don't forget about the valve springs (if yours are stock LT1s). You will be very close to coil bind with the increased lift. The LT4 springs are really cheap (~$26) and pretty good for a stock cam/1.6RR setup. BTW, how much are the ones you're looking at?
