whats a good fuel pump for a 700hp lt-4 application? i figured out what i need for injectors, and FPR, but now i am trying to figure out what type of pump i should have. i have a stock one in the tank, and a vortech add on in line pump. will this be enough to feed 700hp? if not what should i get? this car is supercharged, and will be getting a rising rate FPR, and 65lb per hr injectors. i know the injectors are a little over kill, but i would rather have them working at a lower duty cycle, than having a smaller one working harder than it needs too.

700 at the crank or wheels? If it is at the crank, the general rule of thumb in gallons/hour required is 10% of your estimated crank HP. So at 700 HP, you will need a minimum of 70 GPH from the pump. This is in excess of 265 lph.
Barry Grant, Magnaflow, and BBK make very good in-line fuel pumps. But if you are looking for a replacement in-tank pump, Racetronix, Walbro, Holley, Accel, and Bosch make good products.
You will need to at least replace or remove the in-tank pump. The Vortech in-line pump can only draw as much fuel as the stock in-tank pump can provide. So no matter what the flow capacity of the Vortech in-line pump is, you will have a bottleneck at the stock in-tank pump.
Which Vortech pump is it? T-rex 155 lph? How much boost?
At 700 HP on a boosted motor you will need to use at least 2 155 lph in tank pumps. Or just remove the stock in-tank pump and use a single in-line pump capable of at least 270 lph. But like I said above you would be much better off by going with something like a twin 155 lph setup.

Lots of f-body guys have been successful with the twin Walbro 340 in-tank setup. It would be a little overkill with 700 HP but you and I both know that a little extra insurance with fuel delivery on a boosted motor is a good thing.
