I have aquired my fiance's 94 firebird with a 3.4 and 5 speed. needless to say it just wont do. I have a 406 and a700-r4 i built for my 77vette that i was wndering if anyone has swapped an older v8 into this body . nothing against the lt1,ls1,6,r2d2 or c3po i just like the thought of this set up in the car.

You may have to swap to a "crab" style distributor to fit it under the cowl. May need to cut away the windshield wiper drive arms. May need a cowl hood, depending on the height of the carb/intake manifold. You will need to find a way to run the speedometer. You will need to use something other than the stock high pressure fuel pump. Might need to finagle a bracket for the PS pump, if you keep that. Need to fab up some sort of motor mounts, since the LT1/4th Gen mount isn't the same as the Gen 1 SBC.

Obviously, it isn't going to pass any kind of emissions (or many gas stations) but I doubt that is of importance to you.
