  • Interior swap.. What do you think?

I am thinking about doing the following...

Getting black leather door panels, black leather front and rear seats, black carpet, black floor mats, etc...

Swap worth it? I really don't like the gray that came in the white camaro's, and I'm not big on cloth.

I would say if its worth it to you go ahead and do it. Its not that hard of a job either, could do it in an after noon, or day depending on how you feel about working on your car and if you feel comfortable doing it.

I've done it. Well worth it. I slowly pieced all the parts together from e-bay. There are a lot if plastic panels that need to be replaced. Rear hatch trim, dome light trim, rear trunk panels, large panels in back seat area, and the kick panels that run along the doors, and door panels, very very easy, a few screws, both large and small. Carpet is not too bad, seats come out easy, front and rear. The center console is a PITA. I've replaced everything except for the seats. Never bothered with the rear hatch trim, just took it off. I couldn't stand the tan interior, now I have black.

Did you have to replace anything on the dash, or did it turn out looking all right with the dark charcoal color dash? That's the color I have.

I'm thinking this... Leave the entire dash alone. Replace the center console, carpet, and seats.

Dye the ceiling, and paint all the plastic trim.... Whatcha think?

Painted plastic trim will look like garbage in a year. It will get scratched up and look crappy.
            I've seen it happen.

I loved my Black and Charcoal Formula interior. I'm all for it. I think I would just replace the headliner. New material isn't that expensive, and it isn't hard to recover the backing board.

My entire front dash was ebony from the factory, so it matched up perfect.
