options experts.... I need some info on the Comp T/A

    they didnt weight any more than the 96-97 ws6... and they and the ws6 were still lighter than a regular 96-97 TA...........

      They weighed more because they were loaded

      My Formula weighed almost 200 lbs less than the either of the TA's. Mine was a hardtop/cloth car but had everything else.

      The hood was the same. But the Speedline/BFG combo weighed a lot more than WS6/GSC combo. And the exhaust weighed more than the stock LT1 exhaust. Leather over cloth. Decals, emblems, etc.

      It all adds up

        yeah..your right...decals weight a ton.....................





        options are what does it. a fully loaded ta weighed more because it had a metal hood......... the two-on-the-left wasnt that heavy, heavy..but not as much as some of the aftermarket stuff... now.. you want heavy.. the stock slp exhaust in 2000 was heavier than the car......... hhahahaha

            Decals probably added a couple of pounds, there was a lot there. But if want to make fun, that's fine. The stock cars didn't have decals so it adds weight, which was my point.

            The SLP exhaust weighed quite a bit more than the stock LT1 exhaust, which was my point. Same with the wheels.

            Once you start adding up everything, then you see why the Comp was a heavy pig.

                  Whoah, you're reading way too much into things. I'm just saying that with everything that comes on the Comp, it going to weigh more than the same TA or even the WS6.

                  Need to check your ego... Disagreeing with you isn't a personal attack. I guess some things won't ever change.

                    You know, I posted a simple question about Comp T/A wheels and it was answered. How the thread got hijacked into this is beyond me . I don't like the direction this thread has gone so it's done.

                    If I want to put a finer line on it, calling any f-body a pig has gone beyond what this forum is supposed to be used for. that is a minor point compared to having someone "Check their ego". Read the rules and regulations of the board. No personal attacks and flame wars. Any more of this and things will get handled. Period.

                      word change: "ego" to "facts". but i wont change the facts, cause fact is a fact............

                      it's not a big deal, now is it?

                      My Envoy's a pig.......and i love it.......

                      And for the record...the over - and -beyond decals that were placed on that car might..if you stretch it...weigh in at a whoppin 7oz's......total. OMG .........

                      heck.. i blew that away after i drank that 16oz of coors light and went for cruise...........
