  • ATI Procharger Question

Looks like I'm selling my motorcycle, so I will have some cash on hand. I've always wanted to supercharge the TA, and am looking at the ATI w/2 core intercooler. Engine is stock ('95), just exhaust work & 3.73 gears. I'm interested in anyone's experience with supercharging - pros/cons, comments, etc. I know I will have to change the plugs (been avoiding this! - suggestions on kind & gap?), and drop the HPP3 programming (will probably do the Ed Wright programming).

Thanks for your input. I just realized I havn't posted since the board changed! Like the new format.

NGK TR5 gapped at .032 to .035 is typically a good start. I highly recommend you use LT1 edit or equivalent and watch your knock. Spend lots of time tuning the car and you will be fine.

Please feel free to ask specific questions because its been a while since I did my 94.

I just purchased a 96 SS with what I beleive is an ATI Procharger (I think it's the P1SC, But not sure)with dual intercoolers. I don't fully know yet what other mods have been done.I was just wondering where I could find LT1 edit and also if I were to get LT4 Knock sensors, would that decrease my chances of detonation? And finally, With my car being blown shouldn't I use NGK-TR6(?) plugs, because they burn at a lower temp?
