WOW! It appears as though the person in the car didnt see the bike and flat out cut the biker off. The bike must have been going really fast to have damaged the car the way that it did. Makes me think twice about riding at high speeds.

That bike must have been flying to damage that car like that. I don't think the car passenger faired to well either.

Goes to show the risk you run riding, as long as there are cars on the road the possibility of things like that happening is very real, especially when combined with high speeds.

Wholy Crap!

The front wheel of that bike is broken off in the car!

I noticed there was no emergency response. No ambulance, nothing. I have a feeling he was dead at the scene. There was a guy that tried to listen for a heartbeat. He appeared to be alone because nobody seemed to upset about his injuries/death.

That is why I do not have a bike. I have raced moto-x since I was 3.5 years old (19 years). I can do whatever i want with a bike, but nobody can control the others on the road. I have been to 3 funerals in my life for very close friends. They were all very experienced on bikes, but were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hate to see this, but as long as these are on the road, people will die. We just must pray that god keep them safe.

I did not want to think bout this, but one of my friends I witnessed die. His bike was not nearly as bad as this one and medics said he died on impact. I hate to see this. GODSPEED

Everytime I see/hear of a motorcycle accident on the streets I think of a TV show I saw a couple years back. One motocycle cop who was less than 50 years old was forced to retire due to injuries sustained from 3 accidents while patrolling. ALL 3 occured while he was sitting motionless for a red light to turn green. The best motorcyle drivers in the world really have no control over other drivers.

As for this accident, man that's bad. With those speeds and his body so close to the collision, it would be nearly impossible for him to have survived. Triple digit speeds are survivable with the right gear (his looked pretty good) and a sliding fall, triple digit impacts are not.

That is not a triple digit speed accident, that is a "stupid person turns left in front of bike" accident. If it was high speeds, then the car would not have stopped where it would, it would have moved the car a lot farther or it would have spun it around. That car still continued moving forward, as is evident by the place where it stopped. Also, if it was triple digit speeds, the rider would have been much farther down the road. He was catapulted off the bike, and that motion would have increased his velocity. Finally, he was on the brakes HARD, which is why the bike flipped over the car. If he would have hit them wide open, the whole bike would be embedded in the fender, not just the front wheel.

The guy did die, the lady made it.

Precisely why I gave up riding 20 years ago. I had a few close calls, watched a friend get torn up sliding across a railroad crossing on his shoulder and decided to quit for good. I still get the urge for a chopper, but too little protection in the event of a mishap.

How fast then?.........and what makes you thing he wasn't flying prior to slamming on the brakes......

strange things happen with accidents, not all are cut and dried. Like you, I've seen many, and been involved with many pertaining to tire failures.

I really doubt they were going that fast. The rider/body wasn't thrown that far and pretty well intact. Nor was the bike to far away. Combination of bike going one way and car going opposite way and turned into bike. Impact almost doubles actual speed.

My gosh! that's....just almost unbarable...I couldn't stand around like that. I know there wasn't much that you could do, but I'd get a blanket and try to cover the guy...just out of respect.

I've seen my share of bike accidents...and even though I didn't witness this in front of me like the others...it still makes my stomach turn.

God be with him and his family...and all involved. My goodness...
