  • I have a truck with an oil pressure drop problem...

I know this forum is for F-bodies only, but I have a very difficult problem that I have not experienced before.

The other day, I changed the oil in my truck from regular 10W-40 to a thicker oil and I did everything just right with all the hard ware, no oil leaks what so ever. But when I crank it up the oil pressure is like normal until I go to drive off or to rev the engine, then it drops into the red zone...

What is wrong with it? Do I need to buy another Oil Pump? or What?

    Thanks,
    MaraSport

What engine/truck? What weight oil did you use? Why did you go to a thicker oil? Does it do the same thing when the oil is hot or just when it is cold?

Missing a few quarts of oil?

      Wrong oil filter?
