  • Fikse wheel$.....

Gee, they are a beautiful wheels, but veeery expensive. Better use half of the price to add a performance upgrade (the valvetrain: 1.6 RR, springs, pushrods, guideplates, studs etc).
Does somebody know about Fikse-like wheels (the FM5 is my election)?

I like the FM5's. If you like the Fikse's, you will probably also like the iForged wheels as well. They are priced just a hair less than the Fikse's but still very good quality and style. You will probably like the FS-6 or the lightweight Aero's.

The last set of modular wheels (American Racing Equipment) I had were very susceptible to being damaged by pot holes. All 4 of them you couldn't get a tire to run true on because of damage. The metal rings dented and bent very easily. I hit a pot hole one time and it bent the rim so far that the bead let go and it went flat in a second. I will never buy modular wheels again. I believe solid aluminum wheels are stronger

Thanks Jeff for your warning about this kind of wheel construction.
Well, Kevin, the iForged are great!! too; anyone of them.
I have to save some money in order to get them, beautiful wheels, indeed.
        Thanks a lot guys

The only trade off is that generally, forged wheels are a little heavier. I like the Fikse' but can't swallow the price for a set of those. You can buy multiple sets of other decent quality wheels for the same dough and throw them away if they get bent.
