350Z v.s. WS6

Considering my car is put away i thought i'd ask some opinons about past experiances. I bought my WS6 last year in April. A friend i grew up with lives down the road from my parents. He owns a 03 or 04 Nissan 350Z. He saw me go by him when i brought the car home and he wipped a U-turn and followed me in to my parents driveway. He's one of those nuts, always flying around. He gets the car up to 130+ on a regular. So he asks me to race him and due to the fact that he's nuts and i love my car, i decline. He even told me he knew i could beat him 0-60mph. I didn't think he would give me that .What do you think? Both cars are 6-speed and stock. I looked it up on a couple of websites and they said stock i have him by .1 or .2 in 0-60 and top speed by 4-5 mph. I'm not gonna race him. I think he's just upset at the prospect he spent $30,000+ on his car and i spent $15,600 on mine and i may have a faster car than him.

i know you guys on the board arent big street racing advocates, but i have to share this kill story. When i had my 30th anniversary Z28 i came up on a 350z on the highway one day. I wasted him. keep in mind tho, i had a few mods. i had the lt4 hot cam kit with 1.6 rrs and 4.10s. also the usual stuff like exhaust and intake. but he didnt have a chance, then i knew when i got up to the top on the hill there could be a cop there so i slowed down, he went right by me at 100+ and sure enough there was a cop there that day. i bet he was pissed.

Having test drove a 350Z just 3 weeks ago and also having had the pleasure of thrashing one soundly in a quick little sprint, I can say they are nice cars. Just not quite enough oats for the real fun factor to kick in. If another 50-75 HP were added, it would be a different story.

Your LS1 will own him at any speed. He doesn't stand a chance. Go to the drag strip with him and prove your 1320 dominance. You'll run 13.4 @ 106. He'll run 14.1 @ 97. Then, go find a deserted highway, and run him from 70 mph to 120. You'll have 4-5 car lengths on him.



Now... visit some tight turns on a race track or auto-cross course, and you could be in trouble.

I went on a guys website a while ago and he had both cars. a WS6 and a 350Z. He said the WS6 was faster but the 350 would handle better at high speeds.

My 9 year old 95Z28 smoked an '04 a few months back. Guy thought he was the S%#t !! i put 5-6 lenghts on him from a dead stop up to about 95mph. we came up to another light and the guy had enough. he turned left away from me. Got to love the lousy outdated LT-1 350 ......
