lt1 runs bad...Please help!

At idle the car runs rough. Give it gas and feels like slight power loss and may be missing? Sometimes stumbles and surges at idle. Changed Coil, and plugs (Black carbon dry) and alt.

I don't want to replace everything and find it was something simple. HELP Going crazy...

It might be an EGR valve that is stuck slightly open. I'd clean the throttle body and IAC valve.

I didn't check the EGR but did clean the throttle body, still have problem.

A few things that could contribute are:

stuck EGR, inconsistant fuel from plugged/weak/leaking injectors, inconsistant spark from the opti/plugs/wires,coil. TPS setting out of spec, partially plugged cat..... man there could be lots of things. A scan tool of some sort really helps take the guesswork out. Best guess:
I would really look at the EGR. Many people are experiencing carbon fouling as the miles rack up. Remove the EGR and the tube that runs to the back of the intake and really clean it out.

Check wires going into opti

I had no spark going to cylinder #4 for some time.... I did the plugs, and I could still feel the miss. When my 8.5mm wires finally came in I noticed the corrosion on only the #4 wire at the opti. All the other wires were fine. Had to replace the opti. Just one of those strange occurrances though, but you never know. I had similar symptoms.
