Anybody that uses Fram filters might want to check this out. Fram sucks, I've always said that, but be careful which you buy, some are rebadged Frams, even if they have another brand name on them.

Russel did that comparison a few years ago as well as John Pearcy for the TTA/GN crowd. Basically stick with stock filters and you should be OK. They have to warranty the engines so they wouldn't skimp on quality filters.

      I always use AC filters

AC Delco PF1218's are the 1 quart equivalent for most SBC and LT1's. I have them on both of my cars!

Bingo! good quality filter at a reasonable price. That is what I run.

Thankfully the trucks started using that filter as that was incredibly hard to find as the TTA was the only one that used that filter.

Now that AC dropped the PF35 in favor of the PF1218, they can be had everywhere. Only difference is the 1218 has anti-drainback.

I haven't found anything on them, but I hear they're among the best. Can't really go wrong with anything from K&N.

Unless you use one of their "re-charge" kits on their air filters and apply the oil too generously so that it flies off into the MAF and messes with the sensors.
