i was looking int obuying a stock ws6 shifter (just the stick) hurst. will that make a difference? how much of improvement from stock?

if you change "just the stick" you will not see any improvement. You need to get the entire shifter including the base assembly.
The OEM hurst shifters are marginally better than the GM ones, if you want a truely great shifter spend a little more and get a Hurst billet plus, or a pro-5.0 with a lou's short stick on it.Tracy

If you drive the car hard, you'll realize how bad the stock shifters are soon enough

Just wait until you nail a 2-3 powershift just right, take the foot back off the clutch, only to have it stick to the floor, the motor starts bouncing off the rev limiter until you back off the gas... only to realize you shifted past third gear, bending the shift forks in your transmission, and having to yank the shifter back out of gear before you can apply throttle again.Originally posted by CRMyeah every now and then its pretty easy to miss 3rd gear so i wanted upgrade
