  • Looking for LT's with good ground clearence.

I have been looking at different headers for a while now. I would like to get some LT's if at all possible but their is one problem facing me. The area in which I live has big speeds so most LT's would not work because they would just get scraped 2+ times a day. The only headers I know of that do not affect ground clearance is DynaTech LT's (I have heard this but I'm not 100% sure). If I cannot find no LT's that suit my needs I will just go with some SLP shortys which are about as good. Can anyone recommend any good LT's that won't scrap?

It's not the long tubes, it's the Y pipes that eat up the ground clearance. Off the shelf Y pipes seldom fit well, I've seen good results with custom fabbed pipes. The other choices are mid lengths and shorties. I have SLP shorties with a random tech high flow dual cat Y pipe and the result is great clearance with a decent boost in power.

look into some pacesetter LT's. coated ones can be had for around $380. i have them on my camaro with no clearance problems. the TSP y pipe is 3" and built just for the pacesetters.

I read in Super Chevy a while ago that the TPIS LT's have good ground clearence. They also said it was very good performing and the instal was easier compared to others.
