Has anyone purchased a hood from this company??
From the looks of them, they are composite and can be ordered painted the color you wish including baffles and decals.... For under $1K...

That is Suncoast Creations. Many of the hoods I've seen require mucho work to look right. They aren't very smooth and there have been fittment issues. Some people have been happy, some not.

      Joe,
      That is a beautiful 97...
The wheels IMHO set it off...
I had a 97 but it only lasted 300 miles...harmonic balancer removed itself from the crank and wasted the bottom end..
Last I saw of it, it was on a towtruck back to the dealer...

Anyway, I thought Suncoast had something to do with this but
Ramairhoods has no Raptor hood and these can be ordered painted and also not fiberglass....
Suncoast hoods are fiberglass and the airbox assy is not oem style like the other one...
      Can you elaborate???

Somewhere back at the house I have a copy of GM High Tech Performance magazine. In there was an ad for Suncoast Creations that said "visit our new websight at ramairhoods.com" I thought that was odd, but haven't checked up on the whole thing. If you look close at the websight of ramairhoods.com, you'll see a banner in the upper left hand corner that says "a division of Suncoast Creations" . Go to www.suncoastcreations.com and you will see their copy of the firehawk hood, minus the heat extractors. Perhaps it's an oversight on their part.

Thanks for the compliments too! Those wheels are Borbet type M which sadly, were discontinued. If I can ever find another pair of them, I'm going to have them cut and modified with an 11" wide rim portion for some 315/35/17s. They were never available in larger than 9.5" so they will have to be fabricated. I do love them!

Okay so this is stated at the bottom of the page for the ws6 / raptor hoods for 99 and up birds.

"All Suncoast Creations hoods come with a 90-day limited manufacturing warranty. Also all hoods are fiberglass and come in a gray gelcoat ready to be prepped, primed and painted. "

                How is it you are
                1. getting a composite, not fiberglass hood
                and
                2. getting prepainted?

In this case its quite obviously a suncoast hood as the are plasterring their name all over everything on the site.

                  Two different websites.....

www.ramairhood.com No "S"(Composite, can get painted)
                  www.ramairhoods.com With an "S"...(Suncoast affiliate)...

My stater thread has the wrong address....
                  I meant www.ramairhood.com
                  Sorry

In browsing through the ramairhood.com website, they appear to be a distributer for other company's products. Their ground effects kits are obviously Wings West, they are even using commercial photos. Most likely the hood is ASCD, but can't be sure. Can anyone else confirm the maker? Ramairhood.com is located in Ft.Myers, Fl. so maybe when I am in the neighborhood, I can snoop around their shop.

                        Joe,
That would be great, Maybe you could see their hoods in person?? and whether the quality is there....
Painted hood under 1K would be pretty good....

                        Let us know...
