94 formula, has 3:73 outa a 97 formula. unsure of mileage on rearend,but it whines when making turns. can it be fixed at a reasonable price, or just worth replacing?

does it whine when turning both directions? or just one? it may be as simple as carrier bearings, or carrier shims. or it could be outter axel bearings, or diff. hard to tell, but start checking the simple stuff.2000 WS6 T/A M6. Monster stage 3 clutch, flowmaster cat back, 4.10's, SLP lid, Hurst shifter.
