  • It's alive!

Yeahhhhhhh!!! Finally started up the car - ported heads, cam, all new valvetrain, TB, headers, injectors, 2800 stall, etc. Started up first try, good oil pressure, it idles, didn't overheat, and didn't throw any codes. I can't believe after changing so many parts all at once that this thing actually runs.

Can't wait to drive it! But have to go to my daughter's basketball game first. Gotta have the priorities right.

That's the way! I always take great pride in the assembly to have it fire the first time. Good Job!

This was the first internal work I've ever done on an engine. I know people do this all the time, but yes I'm proud.

Can't wait to see some video of what it'll do. Do you mind sharing the engine's specs?

As far as the engine, I updated my sig.

It's really mainly a street car, and I wanted something a little tamer. Considering I was going to just go with a CC305, this was a reasonable choice, but I didn't want to skimp on the heads.
