  • UNDER DRIVE PULLEY KITS

i was thinking a bout getting an underdrive pulley kit for my 99 T/A. do they actually give you that noticable of a difference in power and torque?

From what I have seen and a few people I have talked to the LS1 seems to be more responsive to the pulley than the LT1.

I would go with the ASP pulley, it is a high quality peice. I had the pulleys on my 93 Formula and they really didn't do a whole lot. The gas mileage was a little better, and the torque picked up a bit, but nothing huge. With the LS1's the gains are supposed to be more noticable.

This will probably be one of my next mods.

The LS1 produces a more significant gain than the LT1 because the LS1 has a belt-driven water pump. LT1 water pump is driven off the timing gears.

I have the ASP u/d crank pulley - works fine, car seems to rev a little quicker. It's one of those items that's a nice addition to an overall bolt on package
