  • Multi question thread, need engineers and others

First question is where can I find a High speed hydrolic valve that can fully open in 1-2/10 of a second and be closed fast or slow kind of anoloq like with an electronic or hand control. It must also be compatible with power steering fluid. The reason for needing this is I have a friend who is parapalegic but still loves cars has had many autos since his accident, but would like a standard. So we need a valve that can open and fill a clutch cylinder releasing the clutch in 1-2/10 second and close as fast or have the option to be let into gear slow.

Second is will the LT1 and TPI throtle bodies switch straight across? Anyone have experience with it? I am in need of a higher flow Throtlebody.

I don't know the answers to your question but my X father-in-law works for a place called handicapped mobility. They do all kinds of conversion stuff for handicapped people. They were doing a conversion van for a quadriplegic when I was in there one day. Talk about scary. I can ask them if there is anything they have that might help. Or I can give you his number and you can call him. He's super nice.

Well we were just kinda throwin stuff around in our heads the other day in I thought there might valve that could be used to manipulate the clutch for quick shifts and also to start out from a stand still its really the only thing in our way right now. He has all kinds of hand controls for the throtle and brake, but a clutch is the big down fall. The other thing he was looking at was swaping the trany in his Supercoupe (ya ford) for a sequential shift type trany like on his bike so that he could just use a high speed solinoid to shift, or even a paddle type shifter. This is all more so he can do some racing with his car. He has already got a 2002 GSXR 1000 that he has a full throttle electronic shift kit for from europe and we built a type of landing gear that comes down when he slows down so the bike stays upright. Its pretty cool to think that he lost the use of his legs due to a bike accident when a driver turned in front of him and he still rides.
