  • 2.8L Oil Leak

1984 Firebird 2.8L Pretty good fresh oil leak. Seems to be coming from up high but not valve covers. Is there a distributor O-Ring that could be the source? Or the rear intake? Oil appears to be coming down the passenger side of engine. A lot collecting around the starter area. Though of rear main but that was replaced once and dust cover has oil on the outside passenger side but on drivers side of the dust cover.

Yup. Could be the distributor o-ring. I've replaced it on both of my V6 engines (2.8 and 3.1). Check out this thread on thirdgen forum.
