Clutch packs????? As in an auto tranny, or in a limited slip differential, or a multi-plate clutch in a manual tranny?? In what kind of car.... year, model, engine, tranny????

Your 95 has a clutch type limited slip unit in the carrier, and it can be rebuilt with new discs. Its often just as cheap to buy a new carrier. SLP used to have the "take-off" units from the SS conversions they did, dirt cheap. Not sure if they have any left.
Why do you think the posi is faulty.... only one strip of rubber when you launch hard?

Just get on a nice flat surface in a parking lot, and hammer it in 1st gear. If it leaves 2 black stripes, the diff is OK. If it only leaves one stripe, its shot.
When you indicate you have a problem while cornering, is there any noise or jerkiness associated with it? That can be a sign of the installer not having added the correct GM limited slip differential (LSD) additive when they swapped the gears.

You know I always called the rear end lube "dope" but I didn't know it was LSD.
