  • LT1 stumbling and choking on startup....

Hello, this problem happened once several years ago and happened again today. Upon startup the engine choked and coughed and stumbled bigtime usuall less tha 300 RPM. I turned the ignition switch off and tried again. Same thing I then turned it off and tried a third time and it started perfectly and ran fine. This engine is a 95 and only has 70K on it and has always ran well with no sign of issues. It did get a new opti in 1996. The engine is stock aside from exhaust and Hypertech. Right now the engine is starting fine like it should. Also when the problem occurs there are no SES lights coming on.Any ideas.
    Thanks

I had a problem somewhat similar, with my 97 at about the same milage. got no ses light obviously so I decided to change my fuel pump before chevy could charge my 450 to do it and that was the problem.......but again, might be other things to, just my 2 dollars

      Check your fuel pressure

Remove your throttle body and clean it up really well. The gasket kit is cheap. The IAS could be gooked up.
