    I don't know if I'd call him a "ricer"...

He drives an S2000 which is a pretty sweet car - he was just totally ignorant as to how fast F-Bodies are.

He lost... badly... and now he wants to buy an F-Body. That's pretty cool if you ask me. Lesson learned, I guess.

Where I live everybody had to have a Honda with a wing especially after the fast and the furious came out. I continued to ride around in my Z. I told my husband "this honda thing won't last long." Now a lot of the ricer boys have traded up their hondas for mustangs, camaros, T/A's. Good old American Muscle!!!! But I saw a 01 mustang yesterday with a wing...eek!!! I guess they can't all fully convert!

Everything I've read about S2000's leads me to believe they're tricky to launch. Gotta keep the revs way up and all....I would love to take one around a track, but I don't think I'd ever drag race with one.

Now that is entertainment. S2000s are for handling not dragging. I know my car humbled a guy and his S2000 at the dyno. He was spouting off about the computer, exhaust, and intake work he had done. He through it on the dyno - 181 RWHP and 124 RWTQ - he was so embarassd he put it up for sale (not an exaggeration) - he said he had ~3K in mods. Modifying those is almost impossible because Honda has already done so much to them. I would drive one - I think they are pretty cool.

If you read through the posts you could tell that a lot of the guys have fair knowledge of the F-Body. I also noticed that quite a few of them have respect for the kind of car that the F-Body is. Those particular guys are OK in my book. With regards to the race between the S2000 and the WS6, I highly doubt that the S2000, or any other import for that matter(except for the AWD) would get any jump on any WS6. Maybe the guy didn't notice that the other car was in-front the whole time until he was in plain sight. Then again, torque and traction dont always go hand in hand for the F-Body !

What's the matter 24SECET? Jelous that you can't rev to 9,000 RPMs? Jelous that all I have to do is put on a turbo and smoke your butt? No I do not have a turbo yet, but when I get one I will race your mullet sporting @$$.

Whats all the hype about? Seriously the only fast domestic car i have ever seen is a viper, and even they don't rev very high. Specially top end, no american cars can match a high revvin' motor.

My Dad had a 96 Trans am with a 5 speed, that thing was slow, it would top out at like 110mph in 5th! thats stinking bad top end... i hated that heavy car, couldn't handle worth $h!%. He now has a 99 M3, its alright, still nothing special. I am trying to get him to get something really fast next, like an s2k or a prelude.
