Sad Day for me...
Well, I decided to go ahead and get a new vehicle today. And the 'ol bird was used on trade. I got a 2004 Ford ranger (yah, I know, ford... Yuk!) super cab. The thing drove really nice and actually handled better than my bird (if that tells you how bad the suspension was). The funny thing about today was when I was on my way to the dealer. I get into the town where the dealer is and the tranny started slipping horribly and wouldn't shift into 2nd until redline (5000 RPM's at 25 MPH, not good) and then it would slam into 2nd and the same for 3rd. Overdrive was non exsistant. Happened as soon as I got off the interstate. So I was thinking "there goes my trade" but they still gave me $800 for the ol girl. Over all I'm happy with my decision, but it was hard to ignore the '00 Z28 they had on the lot. But I really wanted a truck so I guess its for the better.
It was quite disturbing for me to hand over the keys for a GM and get ford keys in return. Plus having to watch them take my baby...
This sucks... I'm a ford owner now... I hope I can get over it. I've heard pretty good things about the ranger and the 3.0L V6. So I hope they are all true.
I'll still hang around but not as a F-Body owner. Some day I will get my '02 WS6. Hopefully sooner than later...
