  • temp of the TA idling

I was wondering if this was normal, I had the TA started today(since its been a month since it last was running) and I let it sit and when I came out the temp was rising past 210 and goin, it did this before I put it away for winter. only does this when it sits and runs. When I drive it, it dont get that high only when it sittin there. Normal? or should I look at somethin? Thanks for info.

Unless you've programmed the PCM, that's normal. It will get high (something like 230 or so), the low-speed fans will kick on and bring it to around 200, then kick off and the cycle begins again. You could either get your PCM recalibrated for it (Superchips, Hypertech, PCMForLess, etc.) or go to SLP and get a fan switch (http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...11&BIG=63011-1) and control it manually. I bought one for Craig and he loves the thing (mine has an aftermarket chip and doesn't need it anymore) and its really easy to install...took maybe 20 min. Hope this helps.
