  • Help!!

Okay, i've got a 94 Camaro, and I wanted to put some cheap white faced guages (which ended up not working, by the way) in, but it was a huge pain because I couldn't get the piece of dash above the guages to come off. How do you get it off?? It was the only thing left holding the guages in, and made everything 50 times harder.

By the way, if anyone has any white faced guages they want to get rid of, I'm looking for the ones that look factory, but are just white. Oh, and for a v6. Thanks for the help!

You'll need to remove the dash cover to access the screws that hold the guage pod cover.

remove both the a-pillar trim pieces

remove the dash cover by gently prying up along its edges to release the velcro that holds it down

remove the screws that hold on the gauge pod cover. There are also some screws behind the radio bezel and the knee bolster.

Thanks, but while I would LOVE to have the car, I can only afford the guages right now. Would like to upgrade a little, haha, but I gotta put my time in with the 6 I guess.

hey okay, I was trying to get the dash apart again, and where you said to pry off from velcro, mine's screwed in. It doesn't seem like you can get to the screws either without taking the huge dash piece out that's in the far back. I'd do it, but I don't know how to get that one off either.

Yes, you need to take off the "huge dash piece". That is the part that is held on with velcro. Be carefull not to crack it. Remove the a-pillar trim first.

Once removed, you'll be able to remove the screws that fasten on the gauge pod cover.
