I am trying to help a friend out with a 96 s-10, 4.3 v6.We are gonna install a zexel torsen limited slip assembly in his s-10 but were not sure what ratio he has,3.08,2.73,3.23??Is there any numbers in the vin or in the glove box that denotes the ratio?Do you need to run limited slip additive with the zexel torsen setup, i think its all gear driven but want to be sure.Any help will be appreciated.

jack it up, crawl under, put in neutral.......mark a rear tire with white chalk on one spot...mark the drive shaft on one spot.. and turn the tire and count the revolutions of the tire vs. the drive shaft ...that will give you an idea. chances are its a 4:10Originally posted by 95 GA/TA
