I believe that BBC and SBC use the same size lifter bore, but is there a difference in between the two lifters in a pair?(see diagram for clarification)
Do all BBC engines have an offset in the lifter pairs? The reason I refer to them as pairs is reto fit roller come as pairs and factory rollers are paired in the retainer, plus they are kind of situated as pairs whan looking into the lifter valley. Could a person mod a set of BBC roller lifters to fit a SBC by replacing the horizontal retaining bar? My friend is building a 350 for his 68 pick-up and is trying to spend as little as possible and happens to have a set of BBC rollers.
