The relay works fine. I went before the relay. I sent 12v directly to the fuel pump. Didn't power on.

I don't understand that sentence. That sounds like 2 different things you tried.

I sent 12 volts directly to the fuel pump and it didn't power on. One procedure. 2 wires run from the pump. gray is power, black is ground. Ran power to the gray, and grounded the black. The fuel pump did no power on.

That pic helps explain. See the two wires? I sent power directly to them. No power.

My walbro just arrived this afternoon Glue is drying on the basket overnight, just to make sure. Ran out of daylight too.

hmmm.... just a thought. Try releasing the fuel pressure at the gas cap, screw it back on then try to start. If the pressure is back, then it could be something else.

            Did that gas cap trick.

Just picked up my walbro about an hour ago. 255 LPH. I planned on doing this anyway. Hopefully this fixes the problem. It should. I mean, when I gave it power it did nothing. It has to be it! Can you tell I'm still not totally convinced?

Just can't wait to be up and running again.

              Pressure didn't return at all???

Where did you find a Walbro 255lph locally? Double check to make sure you got the right part #, foam sleeve, plastic tube, and connector.

Ramchargers my friend The performance connection. They carry performance upgrades for most domestics. Once in a while you have to order. I had to special order my BMR susp. parts. If I had gotten edelbrock I coulda walked out with them. Pretty fairly priced too.

It's the same walbro pump that I see on the net. The one in this pic...

139.00 for the pump. Walked in, got my part, left. Pretty cool store. Too bad they're only open like 8 hours/day during the winter months...

sweet. It's not too bad of a job. I just got paranoid in the beginning when I was about to make the first cut... Kept thinking I smelled gas.

I would definatley keep the bucket in though...

good links there. thanks Glad to see I'm not the only one monster garaging my car. In all honesty though, it just isn't worth dropping the gas tank. I just filled up yesterday, too. It just seems so much easier and better for the future to cut a hole in the hatch. I'll be starting mine in about a half hour.

Just please dont do the "cut a whole in the car procedure" Please! it probably takes more time to cut the whole nicely and make it look good than to just drop the tank and change the pump

That's what monster garaging means. I'm going to cut a hole in my hatch. It will take probably 10 minutes to cut that hole out. I do not have the time or tools or garage necessary to drop the fuel tank. I just can't do it. I had planned on doing this when I installed my springs, LCA's, and panhard bar, but this happened. Had my conquest never broke down, and this car was still in the garage, I'd do it right. But shiz happens. Dropping the tank isn't something I can do. I gotta be to school in 14 hours.

you really only need a jack something strong and sturdy to hold up the car( jack stands ) some wrenches and a ratchet. Undo the shock mounts and let the axl drop then undo fuel tank and lower it down (easier if empty ). Undo fuel lines and stuff and take out pump, replace pump and do reverse. It only takes an hour or two. I know when I buy a 4thgen I will be checking to see if that has been done and if it has I wouldnt spend the money no matter how cheap. Just my opinion of course, by all means do what you have to but at least concider putting in a trap door, painting the cut edges, and sealing it properly, dont doo a half A*@ job.

Cut a hole in the trunk. Wouldn't have done it any other way guys. After I had the hole cut (5 minutes, used a grinder, one wheel took it off), it was a 1 hour job. First time. Lots of inspecting and testing too. I tested the original pump. Ran 12 volts directly to it. Nothing. Same to walbro, fired right up. Popped it in, bam, done. Car fired up and is running good.

                            I'm smilin'
