Greetings all you f-fans. I own a '92 Camaro RS with a 3.1L 6, I have put alot of time and money into it to get it fixed but sadly the transmission mount went out and in my searches for a replacement I have found the following. The dealership wants $310 for a new one, no parts stores sell it they only sell your standard GM transmission mount, Energy suspension has a standard mount that they tell me will work if I modify the crossmember...I don't have the resources to do that, and the junkyards are scarce of v6 third gen camaros. Did I mention it has a t5 and the mount is an ugly round thing and is definately easy to distinguish from the automatics mount? In any case, I searched all the aftermarket sources I could and can't find anything usefull. I was wondering if anyone knew of an aftermarket company (like bmr fabrications) that makes a crossmember conversion so i can use the $20 mount? Or will the member out of an automatic fit my car? Probably not...I don't know. But for $310 I can fix up my 73 nova really good....hmm....i'll do that later, but right now I would appreciate some help, maybe someone out there has already been through something like this or knows someone that knows someone that knows the answer. I'll be .

Go to www.hemmings.com and search for restoration shops. They can usually pull apart a mount, clean and replace the rubber as good as new.
