Looking for cam suggestions......

looking for a good cam for a mildly upgraded 01 ss.
as far as an up grade list, long tubes are at the top followed by some intake stuff, am probably going to stay away from heads.

Looking for a cam with a nice aggressive sound for a daily driven car that has to pass inspection. maybe in the area of 35-40 hp gain

I am going to do springs and possibly rocker arms too and of course timing chain

is there anything else in that department I need to keep in mind ex. push rods?

The Thunder Racing 224 cam on a 114 sounds like it might work for you. Makes pretty good power and can still pass emissions. You'll still need a good tune though. Pushrods and springs should come with the cam. New chain and new oil pump with new o-ring also. Since you are there, an underdrive pulley would also help and would be easy to install.

Long tubes also make great HP numbers.
